PEDDICORD LILLIS ATTORNEYS SECURE COMPLETE DEFENSE VERDICT FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION DEFECT TRIAL
- Nov 18, 2025
Attorneys Emma Steffen and Randy Wilharber secured a defense verdict following a week-long trial in Warren County in favor of a general contractor hired to design and construct a foundation and basement underneath a 120-year residential home. Plaintiffs alleged the contractor breached the contract in the performance of its services when damage was sustained to the home following the construction of the foundation and basement. During trial, Peddicord Lillis counsel skillfully argued the inconsistencies of expert opinions supporting the Plaintiffs’ allegations. Plaintiffs sought more than $500,000 at trial. The jury found no breach on the part of the firm’s client and did not award any damages to the Plaintiffs. Attorney Emma Steffen was victorious in her first-time role as “1st Chair” in a jury trial. She was supported throughout the trial by Peddicord Lillis Partner, Randy Wilharber.
